Riverdale Y Rapids - Practice Group (Ages 8 and under)

Children ages 8 and under who already possess swimming skills and have a passion for the sport. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle with side breathing, 25 yards of backstroke, and have some knowledge of breaststroke and butterfly. The focus of this group is to build the foundations for competitive swimming starting with technique work on all four strokes and including starts and turns through in-the-water instruction. Swimmers at this level are eligible for our swimming competitions.
